Nuclear Dessert
A purple flower grazed the fabric of reality
As I was washed in the wake
Of an enormous event.
For me, time had stopped
And a dream had exploded
Pushing past all consciousness
Carrying me into a deadened landscape
Of sand.
My tongue grew fat in my open mouth
While a dumb stare took my face.
My skin burnt like bark
Sore feet bubbled with blisters.
All was silent except for the deafening cry
Of lost souls.
I stopped still
Feet covered with molten sand
Half turned
And fell.
Face cracked
Body burnt
Mind lost.
Then the rains came
From the depths of hell.
The World was turquoise that night
With the air still dimmed
Too bright
Eyes caught by the moment
Magic in the imagination
Of touching hands
The turquoise of the affair
The light caught in her hair
With brilliance
Shimmering
Eyes stare
Pooh!
That man stinks
I mean,
Really stinks
I mean,
I am about to faint
Due to,
Oxygen starvation.
Pooh!
I have to get away
From that stink
Too crowded
To take a slight breath.
Pooh!
I think I will be sick
The stink
From that man
Is making me heave.
Should I faint
Rolling subtly
Towards the soon to be
Opening door?
Not breathing
Is making me light headed
And in a second
I shall have to take a breath
Then it is gag
Or fake death.
The man with the broken leg by brianbrane, literature
Literature
The man with the broken leg
There he is
The man with a broken leg
If he thinks
He is getting my seat
He has another thing coming.
It clearly states
Elderly
Or parents with Push chair.
He broke his leg
It his fault
Unless
Of course someone else did.
Still
He is not getting my seat
That man
With the broken leg.
If I could be with you now.
I would hold you tight.
Softly stroking your brow.
If I could hold you now.
I would whisper my love to you.
I would tell you just how.
How much you are with me.
When we first met.
Even though we have never met.
Even though we must never meet.
In my mind
I wonder what it is we are.
In my mind
I feel you, even though the distance is so far.
If you could see me
You would see the sea in me
In my eyes
As I think of you.
It does not hurt.
Like it should
It is like the rain.
It falls without pain.
If you could be with me
You would be without something else.
To take what is not mine
What you cannot
The man turned the corner.
On a dark lit.
Raining night.
Quarter past the hour.
There was a meet.
Down the cracks.
He trod.
Hidden from view.
Clutching the night.
Cold in hand.
Who knew.
Sliding past the candescence.
Of the skies flight.
Deep in the horizon.
The sun bade.
Farewell.
To another day.
Long shadows.
Burnt the sodden gravel.
Where.
The strangers.
Shoes.
Go.
Glance to the side.
The man walked on.
Silently.
On tip.
Toe.
Brushing the stone covered.
Floor.
Hiding.
With him.
In a no show.
Through the path.
To his meeting place.
Quick turn.
To the side.
Steady now.
That is the end.
The figure.
Disa
I tried to hug the world.
It did not help.
I tried to cure your ills.
It did not help.
I gave you all I have.
It did not help.
What can one do.
With this impotency.
So I sat.
Cried out my being.
Until it was all gone.
Until you and me became one.
I figured.
This was not the first time.
That this had already been done.
Until I saw my own face in the sun.
With the wind breathing
The tides turning
And the way that it shone.
The problem was.
I could not stop.
The universe went pop.
It turned, inside out.
Nothing, became everything.
The universe white hot.
So the light that you see.
Are tiny holes that lead to here

Do not look at me like that.
Go away.
I am not interested anymore.
There is nothing more to be said.
What has been done.
Has been done.
There is nothing in this existance.
That will erase the pain.
There is nothing left.
Nothing left
Apart from the rain.
Do not look at me like that.
Go away.
Close the door.
What is happening
Has happened before.
I can see where it leads.
I do not want to go anymore.
If you must stare.
Look at the wall.
If you must play.
Go play with a ball.
Do not look at me like that.
Go away.
You spun the web.
I forgot what to say.
Been there done that.
Have not time to play.

I must say goodbye now
Because I am too old.
Had I been younger
I might of stood a chance.
But alas
I am too old.
When this angel appeared to me
Screaming at me to love her
I responded
Because I felt her love
And I wanted to love.
But I am too old
Too old for her to love.
I read every word
Then tried to forget.
I came back again
Then had to forget
I look at her image
And I feel love.
I read her words
They scream love.
But I am too old
Too old for her to love.
Had I been younger
I would have taken her to a place
Where mortals have never been
Had I been younger
I would have made life a dream
Had I been younger

Home Truths
What I said was the truth
This is the home truth.
What you wanted to believe
This was not.
What I said was fact.
What is
What is white
What is black.
What I said was the truth
This is the home truth.
Whether or not
If, but, maybe, makes doubt
Be clear in your choice.
Definitive
Clarity of voice.
I was clear cut.
I never hid the truth.
Upfront
To the point.
Even when the point was pointless.
I spoke the truth.
Even when in jest.
I tried my best.
Tied, bound, gagged by lies
Naked to the world.
Stood tall.
At the lowest ebb.
Confronted with self.
Broke free
Never had doubt.
This is home truth.

The lady whispered
Brushing past soft flesh
"again"
"again my lover"
The air broke
"again"
And I was there
Clutching her breath
In my outsized hands
"my lady"
Glancing eyes struck forth
"anything"
Stillness struck the moment
"for you"
Tears in eyes
"you are"
Hand to side
"the one"
Our minds brought through.
My voice caught the tide
Carried it to her
Brought her the sight
So she knew.
"if you were mine"
The spinning world transfixed.
"if you were mine"
Time silenced by our stare
"if you only knew"
Opening her eyes
"so"
Heart broke in two
"it is true".
We met just for a moment or two
She did not want to talk
In her eyes I felt peace
A calmness that be stills a stormy sea
"It's ok"
I smiled
"We can just sit here and look into each other eyes"
Calmness took flight.
Awoken by a burning thought.
She looked as if to ask
"Did you just say what I thought you said"
I just smiled back
Babbling about this and that.
But the moment had caught
Silence took time
What to say?
"You are very pretty"
Whispered my mouth.
She heard this
Looked to one side stunned
"What fool speaks to a stranger like this?"
Was on her mind.
I just glanced to her eyes
Down to her mouth
